Ocean Alexander\u2019s design and engineering teams have taken the concept a step further with the 28E\u2019s semi-displacement hull form, which features a half-tunnel underside that reduces draft to as shallow as 4 feet at full load. This, coupled with the builder\u2019s signature oversize shafts, rudder and drive-train systems, results in a comfortable cruising performance that affords exploration of the shallower waters found in the Caribbean and Bahamas. Clients can select from multiple interior finishes, color schemes and wood choices, while loose custom furniture by Italian manufacturer Poltrona Frau adds to the flow and individuality of the space. That flow continues forward to the midship dining area with a formal table for 10. A well-equipped galley is situated behind the forward bulkhead, which can be amended with a large opening to integrate the galley with the salon when desired. Aboard the 28E, this takes advantage of the yacht\u2019s 20-foot-8-inch beam most efficiently. Designed by Marshall, the NGP configuration features a protected and covered bridge outfitted with Garmin products, Hatteland touchscreens and Octoplex control systems, with an open side profile that flows aft to create an immense boat deck area. This space can be fitted with a four-person Jacuzzi, barbecue, wet bar with refrigerator, and custom loose furnishings. The extended aft transom, the <em>piece de resistance <\/em>for the new 28E, brings guests to the water in comfort. The builder elected to forgo a beach club or internal lounge at this level and instead created a large open platform with a hydraulic swim platform that lowers into the water.
