Ocean Alexander\u2019s<\/a> 28E enters uncharted waters as the first model in the Taiwanese builder\u2019s new Explorer series. The 28E had its global debut at Australia\u2019s 2022 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and was on display at the recent Fort Lauderdale show<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the flybridge\u2019s three socializing areas to the expandable multipurpose aft deck and two levels of accommodations, just about every space aboard the 28E is an invitation to relax and look around\u2014and there\u2019s certainly plenty to explore aboard the 28E.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the 28E\u2019s aft deck, Ocean Alexander has completely opened the space. There\u2019s no covered beach club or stowage, but instead a 332-square-foot teak-covered area that gives guests and their toys easy access to the water. The space can be increased too, with fold-down bulwarks to port and to starboard, widening the 20-foot-8-inch beam to 26 feet, 10 inches. Two personal watercraft, two Seabobs and a 16-foot tender can be stowed here, alongside a 2,500-pound crane for launching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Evan K. Marshall-designed interiors have Poltrona Frau furniture, including an aft-facing L-shaped sofa for at least six people in the salon. Forward of the salon is a 10-seat dining table. The portside galley has stone countertops, JennAir appliances (a microwave, a cooktop and an oven) and a Fisher & Paykel refrigerator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To starboard are the stairs to the sky lounge and the 28E\u2019s helm station. There are three helm seats and Garmin electronics, including three 24-inch screens. Aft are a wet bar to starboard and a C-shaped sofa for at least four people, with a coffee table. Farther aft, through a sliding-glass door, there can be an eight-person dining table if owners want one. Far aft, owners can also opt for a hot tub with surrounding sun pads or two sofas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accommodations include a main-deck master stateroom, a forepeak VIP and two aft staterooms with queen berths, and two twin-berth guest staterooms to starboard. The master is highlighted by a single piece of curved glass above the king-size berth, for unbeatable sky views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ocean Alexander 28E has twin 1,650 hp MAN V-12s as standard power, producing a reported 19.8-knot top hop. At 7 knots, the 28E can reportedly travel for nearly 2,100 nautical miles.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
