Dark Horse<\/em>, a 2007 Hargrave Custom Yachts<\/a> 78 Open Bridge, is currently listed with Luke Brown Yachts with an asking price of $1.89 million. The motoryacht has a four-stateroom, four-head layout with accommodations to sleep eight and a crew quarters aft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steps flanking the transom lead up to the entertainment-centric teak cockpit, which has a bench seat along the transom with a high-gloss teak table as well as loose chairs, all set under the flybridge overhang, providing protected alfresco dining. Stepping into the salon, furniture placement defines the social spaces. There’s a chair and two settees to port (one outboard, one at the galley bulkhead facing aft). Windows surrounding the salon bring in light that plays off the rich wood finishes and light-tone furnishings creating a sense of warmth as well as volume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Forward of the salon is the open galley and its U-shaped countertop. For cooking at-sea aficionados, the galley is equipped Fisher & Paykel dishwasher, a Sharp range with a glass cooktop, convection oven and microwave, four drawer refrigerators, four drawer freezers and a U-Line wine refrigerator. Forward of the galley is the 78 open Bridge’s lower helm station, which is outfitted with a Stidd helm chair. A dinette is to port , creating a great spot to have a quick bite or chat with the captain while underway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to outside spaces, Dark Horse<\/em>\u2019s flybridge has a four-sided EZ2CY enclosure enabling the front two-thirds of the yachts\u2019 open flybridge to be an enclosed all-weather, climate-controlled area. An L-shaped sofa, fixed table and loose chairs to starboard create an alfresco dining space for eight to 10 people. A wet bar is directly to port, abaft the upper helm station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Side decks with high rails lead to the foredeck where a three-person bench seat makes for a great spot to enjoy sundowners on the hook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Owners and guests will find the four staterooms belowdecks, including the master stateroom, theVIP stateroom and two more guest staterooms. The full-beam master stateroom has a king berth, en suite head with a his-and-hers vanity, his-and-hers closets and a flat-screen TV. The forepeak VIP stateroom has a queen berth, flat-screen TV and en suite head. The starboard guest stateroom has criss-crossing bunk beds, a flat-screen TV and an en suite head. Power for this motoryacht is provided by twin 1,652 hp Caterpillar C32 diesels, giving Dark Horse<\/em> a reported 24-knot top hop. Both engines have 4,500 hours on them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 78-footer is equipped with a TNT hydraulic swim platform that doubles as its tender stowage. The tender, a 14-foot Nautical RIB with a 2006 90 hp Yamaha 4-stroke outboard is included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
